• Learning and usage information. We may store learning progress, lesson completion, study activity, feature interactions, and account settings needed to provide the product and keep progress synchronized.
• Diagnostics and device information. We may collect crash data, performance signals, app version, device model, operating system version, and similar technical information used to operate and improve the service.
• Support communications. If you email us, we collect the information you include in your message and any follow-up correspondence.
• Guest mode information. Some free trial or guest usage may occur without an account. In those cases, certain progress or preferences may remain only on your device unless and until you sign in.

• Provide guest access, sign-in, subscriptions, content delivery, account support, and synchronized learning features.
• Verify purchases and determine whether premium access should be granted or restored.
• Maintain product security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve app reliability.
• Respond to support requests, operational notices, and account-related communications.

We share information only when needed to operate the service, process purchases, secure the platform, or comply with legal obligations.

• Identity providers. Google and Apple may provide the sign-in information necessary to authenticate your account.
• Infrastructure and analytics providers. We may use service providers such as hosting, authentication, database, crash reporting, and app platform services to operate AnimeSense Japanese.
• App platform providers. Apple and Google process subscription transactions on their respective platforms under their own terms and privacy policies.
• Legal or safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Gigu Studio, or the service.

Paid subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Gigu Studio. We receive limited subscription and transaction status information needed to verify access, restore purchases, and prevent entitlement errors. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are generally handled through the platform where you subscribed.

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide AnimeSense Japanese, maintain subscription access, resolve disputes, enforce our terms, meet legal obligations, or preserve service integrity. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and whether you remain an active user.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to minimize access, reduce unnecessary collection, and improve our safeguards over time.

• You may choose whether to use guest access or sign in for account-based features.
• You may manage subscription billing and cancellation through the Apple App Store or Google Play account used to purchase.
• You may request access to or deletion of your account-related data by emailing support@gigustudio.com.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.

AnimeSense Japanese is not directed to children under the age at which personal-data consent is required in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us and we will review the request.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the product, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make material updates, we will revise the “Last updated” date on this page.
